Christine Livesey is an artist from the Hudson Valley in New York. Her medium is serigraphy, also known as screen printing.
Christine has always been intrigued by signs and symbols. Recently, she has been using Hobo Symbols as her inspiration. During the Depression, migratory workers - hobos - would make marks with chalk, paint or coal on walls, sidewalks and fences. The symbols were used to make other hobos aware of what was ahead. She has used these symbols as the building blocks for her most recent work.
